It sure can be a wonderful sight for people outside of Newcastle to watch the Tug boats direct the big coal ships into the Port.
The other day while we were in Newcastle we were lucky enough to see this!. The ships really do look massive.
The Port of Newcastle is the largest bulk shipping port on the east coast of Australia, and is the worlds leading coat export port.
Although I am happy enough to watch the ships come in, you can however take The Newcastle Harbour City Sights and Sounds Cruise, with Moonshadow cruises to explore the Harbour some more!
You can find out more about the cruises here: http://www.moonshadow.com.au/cruises/NHSS/profile.htm
